EXHIBITION CONCEPT
Throughout history, talismans have held a powerful allure in cultures worldwide. From ancient times to today, these objects, often fitting in the palm of one’s hand, have been believed to possess special powers, relying solely on the belief of their possessor. Sometimes, things didn’t change much, but other times, they brought incredible luck or even saved lives.
Frequently, talismans took the form of simple objects like stones, animal bones, and bird feathers. Yet, at times, they were crafted from precious gems, meteorite fragments, personal weaponry, and even exotic animals gifted to their owners, perceived as bringers of fortune.
The artist cleverly explores and redefines this concept, merging two distinct emotions: Unwavering Faith and Aesthetic Pleasure.
In the creation of his works, Ross revisits the emotions he experienced during various experiences, such as freediving with dolphins, studying martial arts, trekking in mountains and deserts, practising yoga, participating in shamanic ceremonies, performing on stage, and attending music festivals. With each piece, he mentally transports himself to those moments of heightened emotion, seemingly transferring them onto the canvas, transforming the metaphysical into something tangible and visible. The artist believes that each of his paintings is infused with the energy he felt during the best moments of his life, thus turning each work into a unique talisman which continues to spread this energy further to the World.

บ่อยครั้ง เครื่องรางมักมีรูปร่างเป็นวัตถุธรรมดา ๆ เช่น หิน กระดูกสัตว์ และขนนก แต่บางครั้งพวกมันก็ถูกสร้างขึ้นจาก อัญมณีล้ำค่า เศษอุกกาบาต อาวุธคู่กาย และแม้กระทั่งสัตว์หายากที่ถูกมอบให้กับเจ้าของเพื่อนำโชคลาภมาให้
ศิลปินสำรวจ และกำหนดแนวคิดนี้ใหม่อย่างชาญฉลาด โดยผสมผสานสองอารมณ์ที่แตกต่างกัน: ความศรัทธาที่ไม่เปลี่ยนแปลงและความสุขทางสุนทรีย์
