The Moonlight เป็นการเล่าเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับตัวคาแรคเตอร์ Fat Fox และ Moon ที่ได้ร่วมเดินทางด้วยกันมาในช่วงระยะเวลาหนึ่ง Fat Fox ได้แอบมองและหลงใหล Moon มาโดยตลอด แต่มันเป็นความหลงใหลแต่เพียงฝ่ายเดียว ทำให้ Fat Fox ได้แต่แอบมองแสงสว่างที่ส่องออกมาของ Moon ในความรู้สึกของ Fat Fox เองที่ไม่สามารถแตะต้องได้ และการมีสายใยของสิ่งที่จับต้องไม่ได้ร่วมกัน เช่นเดียวกับที่เราไม่สามารถถือแสงจันทร์ไว้ในมือของเราได้ เราก็ไม่สามารถสัมผัสความรักทางกายได้ แต่ผลกระทบต่อชีวิตของเรานั้นยังคงลึกซึ้ง เหล่านี้ทำหน้าที่เป็นเครื่องเตือนใจว่ามีแง่มุมต่าง ๆ ของชีวิตและการดำรงอยู่ที่นอกเหนือจากทางกายภาพและที่จับต้องได้
ชนาธิป เริ่มงานแกะไม้จากการทำของเล่น โดยได้รับอิทธิพลจากการ์ตูนคาแรคเตอร์ญี่ปุ่น ที่ได้รับอิทธิพลในวัยเด็ก ต่อมาจึงสร้างคาแรคเตอร์ เจ้าจิ้งจอกอ้วน Fat Fox และ คาแรคเตอร์เด็กผู้หญิงชื่อ Moon โดยการทำงานชิ้นต่าง ๆ ถ่ายทอดมาจากความรู้สึกภายในใจของเขา ว่ามีความรู้สึกอย่างไร คิดอะไร ก็จะแสดงออกมาสู่ผลงานที่ทำในขณะนั้น ดังนั้นผลงานส่วนใหญ่จะแสดงถึงความรัก ความสุข ความหลัง ความเหงา และความหวัง
The Moonlight tells the story of the characters Fat Fox and Moon, who have travelled together for a while. Fat Fox had always secretly looked at and been fascinated by Moon, but it was a one-sided obsession, Fat Fox secretly looked at Moon’s light in Fat Fox’s untouchable feeling and the bonding of intangible things. Just like we can’t hold moonlight in our hands, we cannot experience physical love, but its effect on our lives is profound. This reminds us that there are many facets of life that are beyond the physical and tangible.
Chanathip started woodcarving by making toys. He was influenced by Japanese manga characters of his childhood. Later, he created the character Fat Fox and a girl character named Moon. His various works come from his inner feelings. How he felt, what he thought would be expressed in the work he was doing at that moment. Therefore, most of his works express love, happiness, nostalgia, loneliness, and hope.
